This week in 3A

This week we started our unit on soil.  The students had an opportunity to go to the pond and dig, collect and examine some different soil samples.  Some vocabulary words that your child may wish to share with you are:  

hummus     composte     clay     sand     topsoil     bedrock     erosion

Here, the students investigate how water causes rocks to erode and create soil.

A big Shazam goes out to Oyinda who read the story, "Will You Fill My Bucket" with confidence and expression during our "Rules" assembly with Mrs. Piazza and Mr. Rinaldi-Ross.   Way to go Oyinda!
